Western Cape Owner of the Week : Wayne Kieswetter
It was Wayne Kieswetter who received the Western Cape Owner of the Week Award. 4 th December proved to be a good day for Ridgemont Stud (Nom. Wayne Kieswetter) when winning Race 6 with Kitty Cat Chat (AUS) and later, Race 8 with Real Gone Kid (AUS). Kitty Cat Chat won the WSB Live Casino Southern Cross Stakes (Grade 2) over 1000 metres. This four year old filly was bred at Ridgemont Stud (Aus) Press Statement (Aus) – Whats new Pussycat (NZ) by Fast n Famous (Aus). Luyolo Mxothwa was the successful rider. Anton Marcus accompanied Real Gone Kid to win a Pinnacle Stakes over 1100 metres later that day. The four year old colt was also bred at Ridgemont Stud (Aus) – Snitzel (Aus) In the Fast Lane by Jet Master. Both winners are from the Brett Crawford stable. During the Week Kieswetter also enjoyed victory at Fairview when winning a Maiden Plate over 1200 metres with Opulance. The three year old filly was bred at Ridgemont Highlands – Duke of Marmalade (IRE) – Ferro Rocha (Aus) by High Chaparral (IRE). Opulance was ridden by Greg Cheyne and is trained by Alan Greeff.
