Right Royal Celebration
HSH Princess Charlene du Monaco Grimaldi celebrated her two victories achieved at Turffontein on Saturday 13 November at home in Monaco. Cheringoma, a three year old filly bred at Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein Stud – Flower Alley (USA) – Gorongosa (IRE) by Montjeu (IRE) won the third race, a Maiden Plate over 1600 metres by 4 lengths. She is certainly one to watch going forward. The fifth race was the Grade 3 Fillies Mile over 1600 metres and was also won by HSH. This three year old filly was bred at Varsfontein Stud, Gimmethegreenlight (Aus) – Imperial State by Caesour (USA). Both winners are from the Stuart Pettigrew stable and were partnered by Diego de Gouveia on board.
