Two Winners for Mary Slack
Our Highveld Owner of the Week, Wilgerbosdrift (Nom: Mary Slack) is a regular visitor to the winners enclosure and last week was no exception. Her three year old filly Definitely Maybe, ridden by Gavin Lerena, won the 7 th race at the Vaal, FM 72 Divided Handicap over 1600 metres, on 2 Nov 2021. This winner was bred at Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein – Silvano (GER) – Maybe Yes by Tiger Ridge (USA). Mrs Slack was also victorious in the main feature at Turffontein on 6 November when Sparkling Water won the Grade 3 Victory Moon Stakes with Kabelo Matsunyane on board. The four year old filly was also bred at Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein – Silvano (GER) – Espumanti (GB) by Dansili (GB). Both winners are from the Mike de Kock stable.
