Gillian Dempsey is EC Owner of the Week

Victory by Mistress of Means (in partnership with Peter de Beyer and ST Dev Naidoo) in a Maiden
Plate over 1400 metres at Fairview on 23 August earned Gillian Dempsey the EC Owner of the Week
Award. Mistress of Means has run a number of places but on this occasion was up there to beat the
favourite by a short head. Sharon Kotzen was the successful trainer L Mxothwa the jockey and the
breeder – Mr P de Beyer – Master of my Fate – Meaningful by Kefaah (USA).
