Congratulations to the RA Owners of the Week, Nicola Bouwer, Kirsten and Michelle Myburgh. They scooped two wins last week, the first by Florida Quays who started favourite and won a MR66 Handicap over 1450 metres at Vaal Racecourse on 4 July by four lengths. This four year old filly who was bred at Hemel ‘n Aarde – Jay Peg – Cocoa Beach by Windrush (USA) is a three time winner who has earned many stake cheques. She is from the Paul Peter stable and was ridden by Warren Kennedy. Later in the week, their Weiho Marwing trained three year old gelding, Fact, won a MR67 Handicap over 2400 metres at Turffontein under the ride by Wes Marwing. This was Fact’s second career win. He was bred at Connemara Stud – Elusive Fort – Nicety – Silvano (Ger).
