Talented sophomore One World is one of just seven three-year-olds nominated to the G3 Winter Classic, the second leg of the Winter Series which is due to be run at Kenilworth on May 25th.

Only once beaten in eight starts, One World will be opposed by Vardy and Majestic Mozart, who ran second and third respectively behind One World when the trio clashed in April’s G3 Winter Guineas.

One World’s Winter Guineas victory proved somewhat controversial when runner up Vardy objected against the winner. (The objection was later overruled and the result allowed to stand). A son of Captain Al, One World would be trying the 1800m for a first time should connections opt to stand their ground for the R250 000 Winter Classic. The first five home in the Winter Guineas have all been entered for the Classic.

The Winter Classic is one of three black type features carded for the 25th of May with others being the Listed Olympic Duel Stakes and Listed Stormsvlei Mile.
