Fairview trainer Gavin Smith had one of his best days in a long while at the track when he saddled five winners on Friday (12th October).

Smith admitted it was a very enjoyable day at the polytrack.

“It is lovely to have winners. I want to thank all my partners and clients for that,” Smith said.

In two of his winning races he saddled the exacta and in two of the winners he was also involved as an owner.

Super Socks started the great run for Smith, winning in style by more than a length.

Super Socks is owned by Smith in partnership with Hleli Nhlapo and Justin Turner.

The Smith owned Latescent secured the double and Late Autumn was the third winner. Seattle Swing made it four winners and the big boy Dawnbreaker won well for owners Lindsay Ralps, Kathryn Ralps and Toffa Santos.
