Madame Speaker not only won the R150 000 Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes at Fairview on Friday (8 June) but has also taken the lead in the race to be crowned the champion two-year-old filly for the season in the Eastern Cape.

She also won the Listed East Cape Nursery and was the runner-up in two other Listed events.

That should be enough to secure her an award at the end of a wonderful season.

Madame Speaker is trained by Alan Greeff and is owned in partnership by the trainer, his wife Glenifer and Rob Bradley.

The filly was bred by Stanley Bennett and has won three of her six starts now for stake money of R299 275.

PE based jockey Teaque Gould has ridden her in all her races.

The Greeff stable has now won the Lady’s Slipper Stakes three years in a row.
