One of the younger race horse owners in the country, Justine Greeff, must be thinking she is involved in a very easy game.

Greeff recently became the owner of the five year old mare Lady Diddeo, previously trained by Brett Crawford in Cape Town.

Lady Diddeo is now been trained by Justine’s dad, Alan, at Fairview in Port Elizabeth.

Alan has won the trainers title in the Eastern Cape on eleven occasions, including the last four seasons.

Justine certainly found the right trainer for her first horse and Lady Diddeo did not disappoint, winning both her first two starts in the purple and white colours of Justine.

The victories were less than two weeks apart – on 29 October and again on 10 November.

“It was the best feeling ever, first runner, first winner,” Justine said.

Justine has been a regular at Fairview meetings for many years but admitted she has never been as excited at the track as when Lady Diddeo won her first race.
