The Cape Premier Yearling Sale came to a close on Friday night with a set of returns that more than matched last year’s totals. Powered by the sale of 20 lots for a million or more, the aggregate of R103,025,000 was marginally up on last year’s R98,510,000, while the average rose by 18% to R572,361.
Three lots, a colt and two fillies, shared the top spot of R3.2-million, a tick off the current record of R3.25-million set at the 2013 sale.
