Just ten two-year-olds have been entered for the G3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery, due to be run over 1200m at Kenilworth on June 9th.

Listed Somerset 1200 runner up Arabian Air, a beaten favourite at Kenilworth on Tuesday, is one of four runners entered from the Joey Ramsden yard. Others include Carnage, who finished 4.5 lengths in front of Arabian Air on Tuesday, Kuda Sprint fifth Lucky Dancer, and well bred recent maiden winner Montego Bay.

With his trainer, Ronnie Sheehan, currently battling ill-health in a medi-clinic, there will be plenty of sentimental support for recent maiden winner Watch Me Dad, while Clouds Unfold (cross entered in the same day’s Kenilworth Fillies Nursery) is the only female entered for the 1200m feature.

Unbeaten Perfect Promise Sprint winner Lesedi La Rona is a notable absentee from the eight entered in the Listed Kenilworth Fillies Nursery. However, her trainer Candice Bass-Robinson still appears likely to win the race for a second year running, with her entries including Perfect Promise second Nous Voila, impressive winner Santa Clara, and the once beaten Clouds Unfold.
