Talented Cape three-year-old Do It Again stamped himself a legitimate classic contender when running on stoutly for third in the recent G2 Selangor Cup over a mile.
The gelded son of Twice Over, who had won his first two starts impressively, is the latest high-class winner produced by the Casey Tibbs mare Sweet Virginia.

The latter was one of the toughest and most talented racemares of her generation, with Sweet Virginia winning six of her 40 outings, headed by a treble of graded three victories.
Her biggest win came when Sweet Virginia downed subsequent equine millionaire and G1 Gold Cup runner up Omaha Beach in the 2005 G3 Winter Derby at Kenilworth.

From an outstanding female line (Sweet Virginia’s relatives include recent G3 Fillies Mile winner Folk Dance and Equus Champion Dancewiththedevil among others), Sweet Virginia has more than lived up to expectations since retiring to stud.

Five of her six runners have won, with Sweet Virginia’s top performer to date being former Listed Sophomore Sprint winner Strongman (by Strongold). Exported to Hong Kong (where he was re-named Horse Of Fortune), Strongman has won six times in Hong Kong, with his wins including the 2017 G3 Premier Plate and the 2016 G3 SA SA Ladies Purse.

Horse Of Fortune is one of 13 runners set to compete in the upcoming G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile on December 10th.

Do It Again aside, Sweet Virginia is also dam of talented Visionaire gelding Vilikazi (also exported to Hong Kong), who won twice and ran third in the G3 Winter Guineas.

Sweet Virginia recently foaled a filly by Visionaire (sire of Sunday’s G2 Merchants winner The Thinker), and one can but speculate to this filly’s potential value!
