Meryl goes into the Winners Box

The Pinnacle Stakes over 1900 metres run at Fairview on 11 February went to the favourite Meryl
who won by a short head. This five year old mare is owned by the EC Owner of the Week, Mrs RE
Diamond (in partnership with Mr P Diamond and Mauritzfontein Stud: Nom Mrs J Jell). Meryl was
bred at Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein Stud – Tiger Ridge (USA) – Rose Lipped Maiden by Fort
Wood (USA). She is from the Alan Greeff stable and was ridden by Grey Cheyne.
